DR. Francie Ekengren, MD

DR. Francie Ekengren, MD.  President and CEO of Mid-Kansas Wound Specialist.

Dr. Ekengren has worked as an Emergency Department physician for over 20 years. She is also the president and chief executive officer of Mid-Kansas Wound Specialists, and the medical director and physician for Aesthetic Solutions.

Dr. Ekengren received her medical education from University of Kansas School of Medicine. She returned to Wichita and completed her medical residency in family practice at Wesley through the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.  She is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.

She has received the Kansas Health Ethics Award and HCA Frist Humanitarian Award. She has provided a number of educational presentations to professional and community audiences.

Dr. Ekengren’s community activities have included serving as a volunteer physician at Good Samaritan Clinic, an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church, a medical missionary volunteer in the Dominican Republic and a participant in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as a survivor.

She and her husband have two sons and a daughter.


TINA SHOLL, APRN-BC, msn

Tina Sholl, APRN-BC, MSN

Tina started her nursing career in the Emergency Room in rural Oklahoma in 1994. She earned her BSN from Oklahoma Wesleyan and then went to graduate school at Seton Hall University. She graduated with honors with her Master of Science in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2003. She then returned to school at Wichita State University for a Post-Masters Certification in Family Practice in 2005.

Tina has worked in the hospital and the Emergency Room since 1995 and, since 2005, has also specialized in aesthetic and cosmetic procedures. She incorporated HRT treatments into her practice over 6 years ago and has done over 1000 procedures to help her patients feel better, look better, and improve their confidence. Tina is a clinical educator for several different aesthetic companies and, since 2013, has been teaching other practices to do the various procedures.

In her time away from the clinic, Tina enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three children and traveling to see the world.


Lexi elliott, APRN-BC, DNP

Lexi Elliott, APRN-BC, DNP

Lexi earned her nursing degree from Washburn University, graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Leadership Studies. She has practiced as a Registered Nurse since 2017, spending most of her career in the Emergency Department. She has worked in several trauma centers and as a travel nurse in a Level II trauma center in the Bronx, New York, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020. She still currently works part-time as an ER nurse here in Wichita.

Alongside her professional nursing experience, Lexi has recently acquired her Doctorate in Nurse Practice through Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She is now a Kansas-licensed, nationally board-certified APRN, DNP emphasizing Family Practice.

Lexi was hired at Aesthetic Solutions in June of 2022 and has quickly become a vital part of our team. Lexi has always been passionate about aesthetic medicine and completed a clinical preceptorship with Tina Sholl, APRN in March of 2022. She has since earned her licensure as a Certified Nurse Injector and completed several advanced dermal filler injector trainings.

She is married with three (fur) children and enjoys spending time with friends and watching her husband coach high school sports. She loves reading, satisfying her creative urges with DIY projects, and traveling frequently.
